CAPACITY BUILDING SEMINAR ON PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT AND ETHICS FOR STAFF AT THE MINISTRY OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE AND ADMINISTRATIVE REFORM
On Thursday the 16th of May 2019, the Minister of the Public Service and Administrative Reform, Mr. Joseph LE, chaired a capacity building seminar on Professional Conduct and Ethics and Management of Files and Mails for 100 staff in service at the Ministry of the Public Service and Administrative Reform.
The ceremony which took place at the conference hall of the Djeuga palace hotel in Yaounde aimed on the one hand to remind the staff about the rights and obligations of public employees and on the other hand, to improve on the management, forwarding or dispatching of files and mails was attended by over 100 staff of the Public Service, amongst whom were; Directors, Service heads, personnel in service and new recruits.
In his opening address, the Minister welcomed all staff in attendance, especially the new recruits who were making a debut in their professional career. He continued by laying emphasis on the necessity for all Public Service personnel to align themselves to the vision of a Public Service that primes on performance and proximity and within which "the user is the king".
After the first presentation of the seminar which was on the Ethics and code of conduct of public servants, the Minister encouraged all staff to make necessary adjustments and fit into the vision else they may suffer the consequences of corrective sanctions that would eventually follow all defaulters.
The ceremony which was animated by the active participation of staff from different departments ended on a positive note with a word of hope and assurance that was given by the Secretary General of the Ministry of the Public Service and Administrative Reform, Mr. Maïna Anatole.
